Sad news today in the Spy Vibe world. Actor Christopher Lee passed away at the age of 93. Famous for his many great villain roles, Lee was a cousin to Ian Fleming and played 007's nemesis in The Man With the Golden Gun (1974). Co-star Roger Moore sent Twitter messages out today to family and fans expressing his sadness. Christopher Lee expressed a great love for acting and worked steadily between 1948-2015. He was preparing a new project at the time of his death. We'll miss his deep voice and great presence. The actor was often asked about his wartime experiences and whether he was a spy, to which he answered, "Let's just say I was in Special Forces and leave it at that. People can read into that what they like." Celebrate Christopher Lee's life with some of the great performances from his career: The Wicker Man (1973), Horror of Dracula (1958), Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), Gormenghast (2000), The Blood of Fu Manchu (1968), The Castle of Fu Manchu (1969), and The Avengers TV episodes Never Say Die (season 5 disc 4) and The Interrogators (season 6 disc 5). You can also sit with Lee and hear about his life as an actor in The Many Faces of Christopher Lee (1996). I'm a bit pressed by deadlines today, but Spy Vibers can learn more about Christopher Lee, Ian Fleming, and Spying over at our fellow agent's site, Artistic License Renewed.
