Get Smart was created in 1965 at the height of the spy boom by Buck Henry and parody-master, Mel Brooks. The series ran for five seasons until 1970, fueled by a number of funny twists on popular spy conventions like cool gadgets, pads and lairs, 1960s youth culture, and a world caught in a cold war between two secret organizations (Control and Chaos).
