BOND DANISH

From Sweden With Love reports new Danish editions of Ian Fleming's James Bond stories are out this fall from publisher Forlaget Rosenkilde & Bahnhof. Each of the novels includes an introduction by Bond expert Rasmus Paaske Larsen, who has also provided the first Danish translation of the Fleming short, 007 in New York. I always get excited to see how designers approach Bond around the world. This new series sports a minimalist motif that balances simple type with flat-black graphics over a uniform color. The set has a cohesive grid quality that reminds me of Romek Marber's classic book covers for Penguin in the 1960s (especially the green cover of Live and Let Die). Here are a few samples from the new series by Forlaget Rosenkilde & Bahnhof. Learn more about Romek Marber at Creative Review, Eye Magazine, and Pinterest. The new Danish books are available at Arnold Busck here. Enjoy!
