THANKSGIVING DISH

Happy Thanksgiving from Spy Vibe! Hopefully everyone saw yesterday's announcement about the upcoming Diana Ring event at Southbank Centre. Speaking of my first crush, here are The Londonairs singing about our favorite dish in Dearest Emma. Released 1966, Decca F.12379 and co-written by Robin Netscher, this rare track was captured in a cool TV performance. Pop culture attention probably came as a surprise for thespian Rigg, who told TV World at the the time "Suddenly everybody wants to marry me! It's very strange- a few months as Emma Peel have brought me more proposals than 27 years as Diana Rigg." What can we say? She created a fantastic, powerful character. Let's see how The Londonairs explain it. Video below! Incidentally, this tune was produced by Terry Oates (1937-2011), who I believe was the same fellow who produced Monkees Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones' version of The Point (Nilsson) and represented a number of artists as a "fiercely independent" publisher (Eaton Music), including Henry Mancini (Pink Panther, Peter Gunn, Charade, Arabesque). Spy Vibers, please check out my new book (over 700 pages!) about one of America's great cartoonists. On other creative fronts, folks might not know that I began exhibiting as a fine art photographer in the late 1980s.
