AVENGERS COMICS

Have you entered the new SPY VIBE contest for your chance to win some vintage spy TV books? Details here. New release: The Avengers- Steed & Mrs Peel: The Graphic Novel will be released on December 31st. Big Finish Productions has compiled a collection of vintage Avengers comics from the 1960s! I announced this on Spy Vibe quite a while ago, but our wait is finally over. From the Press release: "Two of television's most iconic characters arrive in this graphic novel, containing reprints of the comic strip adventures of Steed and Mrs Peel which appeared in Diana magazine in 1966 and 1967. They are presented here in a collected edition for the first time. Contents: Introduction by David Richardson, Return to Castle De'ath, The Miser, The Golden Dresses, The Norse Code, Playtime Is Over, The Antagoniser, The Mad Hatter, The Secret Six, From Strip to Script by Kenny Smith, Julian Wadham Interview (John Steed), Olivia Poulet Interview (Emma Peel). Even fifty years later, the characters of Steed and Mrs Peel remain some of most regarded and much loved characters of all British cult television!" Steed and Peel are much loved characters? You said, it brother! As you can see, the book also includes interviews with the voice actors who appear in the audio dramas by Big Finish. Pre-order at Amazon and AmazonUK. Want the book early? It's available as an exclusive early purchase at the Big Finish site, listed as The Avengers Steed and Peel: The Comic Strips. I imagine this will be the final title and cover when it goes to general release. 96 pages. Paperback. Enjoy!
