ITC PODCAST: THE SAINT

New podcast episode alert: The Saint! ITC Entertained the World is hosted by ITC historian, designer, and media contributor, Jaz Wiseman. Spy Vibers might recognize Jaz from his many decades of work on numerous pop-culture magazines, DVD/Blu-ray projects for various international markets -including a treasure-trove of cast/crew interviews and commentaries (which are all featured in the podcast!)- as well as his long-running magazine, The Morning After. Also hosting are writer/historian Rodney Marshall (son of writer Roger Marshall) and pop-culture historian, Al Samujh. In their new episode, the team provides an incredibly thorough (1Hr 22Min) look at the black and white episodes of The Saint starring Roger Moore. These guys always put together a fantastic show with very in-depth knowledge about the production history of ITC. Highly recommended- don't miss it! MICK AT 77

Happy Birthday to Mick Jagger! Mick was born on this day in 1943. He reunited with an old schoolmate, Keith Richards, on a train platform in July, 1960, and the two bonded over their love for Rhythm and Blues music. They would eventually find themselves in a growing blues scene around former Chris Barber band member, Alexis Korner, and a new group came together. By July 12, 1962, they were performing under the name, Rollin' Stones (after the famous Muddy Water's tune), later to become The Rolling Stones! The band is still rocking away, forever touring, and has been featured in a number of retrospective exhibits recently. In September, The Stones will release a new stereo mix of their album Goats Head Soup with rare tracks -including a song with Jimmy Page! Mick's also pursued a creative solo career in music, as well as film -both as an actor and producer (note spy film, Enigma). And he's been active lately, helping to raise funds for various causes, such as COVID relief, global warming, and Save the Children. Mick is truly the original Energizer Bunny. Gosh, he even became a dad for the 8th time in 2016! Happy Birthday, Mick! Suggested fave albums: The Rolling Stones, Now!
