SPY VIBE RADIO: JERRY COTTON

Spy Vibe's collaboration with the Cocktail Nation radio show from Australia continues with a new series- now live and streaming! Spy Vibe is featured in a podcast segment every month, where I introduce cool films/series and share recordings from the Cold War. This month I introduce Jerry Cotton, a major character who emerged from Germany's prolific pulp fiction magazine scene and a long series of movies. I play two pieces on the show from an excellent film score by Peter Thomas (Raumpatrouille Orion). Tune in to listen here- and I'll reveal some interesting trivia about a famous composer who played on the original theme recording. For more radio action, go to Episode #1 (Danger Man) and Episode #2 (The 10th Victim), Epsiode #3 (On Her Majesty's Secret Service), Episode #4 (Roger Moore/The Saint), and Episode #5 (The Avengers), Episode #6 (The Prisoner), and Episode #7 (The Ipcress File), Episode #8 (The Man From U.N.C.L.E.), Spy Vibe Radio: UFO, Spy Vibe Radio: Danger Diabolik, and Spy Vibe Radio: Peter Gunn. And tune in to Cocktail Nation -the number one lounge music radio show- every week for cool soundtracks, swingin' jazz, news and more. Enjoy!

JERRY COTTON JAGUAR

Take a Sunday drive with FBI agent Jerry Cotton. Cotton was a best-selling character from German pulp novels and was featured in a series of movies. His 1968 outing Death in a Red Jaguar featured some great graphics with a classic E-Type! The film starred actor George Nader as Cotton and composer Peter Thomas (Raumpatrouille) returned to score. Look for the soundtrack compilation released by Crippled Dick Hotwax. Below: a promotional lobby card and poster from Germany, a French poster, and the German trailer. Drive safe and Enjoy!
