DRESSED FOR SPACE

If you plan to tour the stars this weekend, make sure to bring along the right clothes. We looked at a few designs from Raumpatrouille Orion, Bava's Planet of the Vampires, Star Trek, Gerry Anderson's UFO, and 2001 for some groovy tips.

Fans of the Emma Peel look will be happy to hear leather is in this season. The form-fitting material will cut quite a dash on deck and will help you stand out against those bright computer banks. Perfect for away missions and relaxing in the astro lounge.

Also remember to pack some reading material to help take your mind off those stressful liftoffs and re-entries (see Playboy in 2001 below). If an EVA is on your itinerary, Spy Vibe suggests monochromatic suits with matching headgear. But if you prefer the retro look, don't be shy to don the classic bubble helmet (available in junior sizes, as well!).

If you plan an extended stay on the moon, Gerry and Sylvia Anderson suggest that only silver will do- right down to the undergarments. Note that allergic reactions to lunar dust is common and some travelers may break out in purple wigs. Stay tuned for Earth-bound space fashion soon. Happy weekend, Spy Vibers!
