FASHION AWARDS 1963

FASHION AWARDS 1963
1963 was a turning point in pop culture in England. The Beatles released their first album (Please Please Me) in March, Honor Blackman had just made her debut on The Avengers during the previous September, and Mary Quant was celebrated by the London Times for "jolting England out of it's conventional attitude toward clothes," and for bringing something "extravagant to these conventional times." PVC rain wear galore! In this interesting short reel, Spy Vibers will also get a glimpse of Avengers designer, Pierre Cardin, and his model Hiroko.
