GERRY ANDERSON MODELS

We conclude our spotlight on model kits this week with Gerry Anderson. Gerry and Sylvia Anderson produced such memorable Spy-Fi adventure shows like SupercarFireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, and UFO. Each series offered an exciting cocktail of secret lairs, agents, diabolical masterminds, futuristic gadgets, and exotic locations- all supercharged with Space-Age design and flair. Their talented team crafted such amazing miniature sets and models that it's no surprise companies like Imai produced kits for kids and collectors. You can find a huge assortment of models on-line, including Tracy Island and vehicles from every series. Here is an assortment of images- many from the Box Art Den (definitely worth visiting for their gallery of over 200 vintage models!). Many kits are still available through Amazon and from Fab Gear. Coming up on Spy Vibe: our new interview with the maestro of macabre mystery, Richard Sala (Peculia, The Chuckling Whatsit, Violenzia, Delphine). Stand by for Action!
