NEW 007 BLU-RAY ART

NEW 007 BLU-RAY ART

Following the Blu-ray releases this month of Quantum of Solace, Goldfinger, Moonraker, and The World is Not Enough, Bond fans can look forward to a May 12th release of The Man With The Golden Gun and License To Kill. The cover art to these later discs have now been revealed. Please keep an eye on the Commander Bond Network for their full coverage of Bond on Blu-ray.

  1. I find these cover arts pretty uninspired, but I guess it makes it easy for customers to go "Oh, I remember that one. It's the one where..."

And this has nothing to do with this post, but I find the blue on every blu-ray package to be distracting and limiting to the artwork. I think they could get rid of that branding now that HD DVD is dead.

  2. I agree. With all of the amazing artwork from around the world, and contemporary artists doing covers (yay Criterion Collection!), one would think these could be presented in a more dynamic way. The consistency looks good on a shelf, so maybe they're thinking about collectors and collecting as a target market. I love the quality of the films themselves in blu-ray. Can't wait for Goldfinger and, soon I hope, On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
