And adding with good humor, "And I'd like to apologise to any original fans who might feel forced to buy it, in order to keep their collection complete." Director Joe Massot (Wonderwall) started Dance Craze as a doc about the band Madness, who were on a tour at the time, but then developed the project into a larger celebration of the 2-Tone movement. Footage was shot in 1980 and the film was released in 1981 (82 in the US), helping to spread the growing fanbase around contemporary ska music. Forty years later, people are still dancing! Selected related posts: Lupin Ska, James Bond Ska, Ranking Roger, Laika Calypso, Spy Dust Calypso, Selecter Bond, Pussy Galore Calypso, Island UNCLE, The Saint Rocksteady, Phantom Agents, 2-Tone Doc, Spy Vibe Radio: The Saint. Enjoy!
